We are seeking motivated, career and customer oriented Database Analyst/Programmer interested in joining our team at the Pentagon, Washington, DC, and exploring an exciting and challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems.

 

Responsibilities

 

Information Technology Specialist/Database Analysts/Programmer. Assist in the design, deployment and management of a web application to collect and report a variety of descriptive and budget related information about various IT Investments within the Department of Defense. Reporting requirements include printed and XML data submission to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and to the U.S. Congress.

Position requires the design, develop and maintenance of an online utility set used to create and transfer XML data to OMB through the use of Web Services. Also, requires the development and maintenance of a web-based tool, which provides a repository of commonly used templates to transform (content and destination) XML formatted data files.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will be a good communicator (verbally and in writing) and have detailed experience in web development using Microsoft .NET, specifically VB.NET; database design, implementation, and maintenance using SQL Server; and report generation software, specifically, Crystal Reports.

Working knowledge and experience in XML data, XML schema design, validation techniques, and implementation Web Services both as consumer and as a provider is a must. Detailed experience in SQL Server database and SQL, XML, Visual Studios (ASP.Net) programming languages required

 

Required Experience:

  • Master's degree and minimum 10 years of experience or equivalent blend of education and experience.
  • Experience with XML formatted data files
  • Experience with XML Schema
  • Good communicator verbally and in writing
  • Experience with VB.NET, ASP.NET and SQL Server
  • Experience with Database Design and Implementation
  • US Citizen or Clearable
  • Active Secret Clearance
