We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Strategic Sales Executive to join our team in Reston, VA to begin an exciting and challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems.


In this role you will be:

  • Responsible for identifying, qualifying, leading, negotiating and closing large/complex sales pursuits in the federal government market.
  • Developing comprehensive new business opportunity plans to assist in the identification and further qualification of sales opportunities with both existing and new logo clients.
  • Leveraging knowledge and expertise of the operations, portfolio, and cross BU teams (where appropriate) to identify, qualify and close sales opportunities.
  • Developing lasting client relationships based on value creation and trust.
  • Developing solutions that advance the client’s strategic objectives.
  • Acquiring an in-depth understanding of the political and organizational structure of a targeted prospect and the current competitive landscape.
  • Establishing, developing and managing relationships at the senior executive levels (GS-15, SES).
  • Conveying understanding of factors influencing buying decisions at this level.
  • Maintaining current executive-level and program level relationships.






  • Bachelors degree and 12 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of solution sales experience selling large multi-service/complex services contracts.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales quotas.
  • Possesses the industry, technology and client knowledge necessary to develop a creative, differentiating solution.
  • Must be able to challenge established practices diplomatically and take necessary risks to achieve these differentiation solutions
  • 2+ years experience in solutions selling Federal Financial Agencies.
  • Strong preference for specific knowledge of Dept. of Treasury / IRS organization and mission.
  • Understands Treasury/IRS buying criteria, acquisition vehicles and procurement trends and tendencies and understands the current competitive landscape.
  • Ideal candidate will have sold in excess of $50M TCV in past 2 years within this market.
