Summary / Description

We are currently seeking a motivated, career oriented Program Manager to join our team in Annapolis Junction, MD to begin a challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems.

Duties:

  • Ensure the team delivers high quality performance, meeting all contractual and project requirements, work products and deliverables, and exceptional customer service/satisfaction across the program.
  • Monitor multiple projects/tasks on an ongoing basis, evaluating progress and quality, managing issue resolution, and recommending corrective action, as necessary.
  • Plans, schedules, and establishes daily, weekly, monthly, and annual activities necessary to meet program timetable for Technology Refresh, Modernization, and Technology Insertion.
  • Identify and recommends internal and external process improvements.
  • Maintain required management documentation in support of customer programmatic reviews and support requirements.
  • Provide financial program control, including overall P&L for the program.
  • Lead professional development efforts and mentor junior employees as needed.
  • Assist with new and organic business growth and/or proposals as appropriate.

Requirements

Required:

Candidates for this role should be familiar with government contracts and have experience working within the Homeland Security market with proven results delivering against a variety of client requirements with staff under multiple labor categories and multiple subcontractors. Successful candidates will have experience in managing contracts focused on augmenting a diverse set of client operations.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study and minimum 10 years relevant experience in program/project management in similar large and complex systems or equivalent blend of education and experience.
  • PMP Certification required.
  • Demonstrated experience managing, coordinating, and facilitating a team’s efforts effectively and efficiently in a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract environment desired.
  • Homeland Security experience desired, preferably dealing with enterprise-wide systems and/or processes.
  • Ability to manage projects with wide-ranging stakeholder groups, including interactions with government clients at the GS-15 level and above.
  • Proficient in the following Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to read and interpret policy, regulations, and directives.
  • Exceptional leadership capabilities (both internally and externally)
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • US Citizen Required
  • Secret clearance required

Preferred:

  • DHS TSA Experience preferred
  • 5-10 years of demonstrated ability to manage through complex and challenging delivery environments
  • 5+ years of demonstrated ability leading large teams through change
  • 5+ years demonstrated ability to build trusted advisor level relationships with senior level client and advise clients on the path forward
  • 5+ years demonstrated ability to improve quality and program management on an existing program
  • 10 years of familiarity with complex IT programs (ideally involving one of more of the following: cloud, Oracle or agile)
  • 0-2 years of familiarity with DHS SDLC
