Summary / Description

We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Data Warehousing Specialist to join our team in Springfield, VA to begin an exciting and challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates the data administration technical function for both data warehouse development and maintenance.
  • Facilitates change control, problem management, and communication among data architects, programmers, analysts, and engineers.
  • Establishes and enforces processes to ensure a consistent, well managed, and well-integrated data warehouse infrastructure.
  • Analyzes and identifies data and metadata requirements.
  • Defines user requirements and database design specifications.
  • Designs, implements, and supports data warehousing requirements. Implements business rules via stored procedures, middleware, or other technologies.
  • Provides product support and maintenance of the data warehouse.
  • Performs data warehouse design and construction.
  • Prepares/implements data verification and testing methods for the data warehouse.
  • Pay attention to detail, develop and deliver quality solutions, recommendations and services that are based on client’s requirements.
  • Ensure schedules are processed in a timely manner, meeting customer service level agreements in a 24 X 7 support environment.
  • Accountable for establishing and maintaining batch schedules in conjunction with assigned customers for coordination and set up of all applications.
  • Respond to customer special and new processing requirements by using an automated scheduling software package.
  • Effectively track, manage, communicate and resolve all output problems as required.
  • Work effectively with others in the organization to accomplish goals and identify and resolve problems.
  • Build productive working relationship with customers proposing quality solutions that are in the customer’s best interest.
  • Appraise and evaluate application operating and processing procedures for content, effectiveness, simplicity, and error free operation.

  • Bachelors Degree and mininimum 3 years of related experience or equivalent blend of education and experience.
  • Applies fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments.
  • Performs work that requires practical experience and training.
  • Work is performed under supervision.
  • CBP-BI clearable
