Summary / Description

We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Senior Java Developer to join our team in St. Louis, MO to begin an exciting and challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems.

 

In this role you will be responsible for application development and maintenance tasks on the Comprehensive Loan Program (CLP).

 

Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Must apply a sense of urgency to complete tasks in accordance with the project schedule.
  • Must be capable of performing as a lead Java developer and mentor junior Java developers, where needed
  • Participate in development, testing, implementation, and support tasks on the Comprehensive Loan Program (CLP) application support maintenance and development projects.
  • Must be capable of performing highly complex development tasks in support of coding new and modified web pages, batch jobs, etc.
  • Full application development lifecycle experience.
  • Proven ability to innovate and work jointly with other team members.
  • Willingness to learn and take on a multitude of new tasks.
  • Be a self-starter, self-motivated and self-directed.
  • Flexibility to work in a constantly changing environment.
  • Able to set and meet deliverable deadlines and estimates.

 

 

 

 

Requirements

Position Requirements:

U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status is required.

Master’s Degree in CS, IS Engineering or other related technical or scientific discipline or equivalent work experience.

10+ Years of relevant experience

 

Preferred Skills:

Experience with UI and prototyping.

Understanding of OS, Objected Oriented Design, and Design patterns.

Eclipse based IDE, SOAP, REST, SOA, and Stored Procedures.

Advanced GUI development.

Open source frameworks such as Spring, Struts, and Hibernate.

Web technologies such as HTML, XML, JavaScript, JSON, AJAX, CSS, and PHP.

Working in enterprise environments developing scalable applications.

Section 508 requirements.

Active Server Pages (ASP).
