Summary / Description

We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented WEB UI Developer to join our team in Alexandria, VA to begin an exciting and challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems.



  • Design, implement, test, debug responsive WEB applications/user interfaces in JEE server environment
  • Work with users in an Agile development approach to understand requirements, then elicit feedback and refine solution through demonstrations
  • Present the solution at formal and informal design reviews, and document the design according to the Government’s system lifecycle methodology 



Work experience:

  • 8+ years Java, JavaScript, CSS, HTML and related framework libraries required
  • Experience in Linux/Unix environment 
  • Required Technical Experience:
  • Experience as lead/senior developer on large web application UI’s from start to finish
  • Expertise with JavaScript, Java/J2EE, JQuery, HTML4/5, CSS, JSON, XML
  • Extensive JavaScript framework experience (ex. JQuery, Bootstrap, Angular JS, React)
  • Expertise with writing and consuming web services (SOAP/RESTful)
  • Experience with Oracle/SQL and XQuery
  • Expertise with responsive web design/development methodologies using CSS frameworks
  • Experience with web application debugging tools (ex. Chrome, Fiddler)
  • Experience with build and automation frameworks (ex. Gulp, Grunt)
  • Experience with web application optimization and security principles
  • Experience in Java Web Containers (ex. Tomcat, Jetty, etc.)
  • Experience with source and version control tools such as GIT
  • Experience working with customers and team members to define requirements and demonstrate solutions
  • Experience designing and delivering complex, highly-scalable software components
  • Desired knowledge and experience includes
  • Developing unit test automation frameworks
  • Using the Eclipse and Rational Application Developer (RAD) IDEs
  • Experience with Agile development
  • Ability to work in a high-pressured, tight-deadline environment
  • Superior written and oral communication skills are essential
  • Must be able to multitask efficiently and progressively and work comfortably in an ever-changing data environment
  • Must work well in a team environment as well as independently
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and problem solving skills; ability to communicate information to a variety of groups at different technical skill levels 


  • Master's degree and minimum 15 years of IT related experience or equivalent.
  • Clearance – Must pass CBP BI.  Must have a DoD Secret or be eligible to obtain one
  • Citizenship – Must be a US Citizen
