Summary / Description

We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Senior Software Engineer to join our team in Reston, VA to begin an exciting and challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems.

 

In this role you will:

  • provide technical knowledge and analysis of highly specialized applications, high-level functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation and implementation advice in support of the TSA STIP DOMAIN program.
  • Participate in all phases of software development with emphasis on the planning, analysis, modeling, simulation, testing, integration, documentation and presentation phases.

Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Lead software design from planning through test and release
  • Review and approve test plans
  • Draft and develop design plans and documents
  • Provide Tier 2 resolution support on operational systems and software issues
  • Participate in design reviews including Preliminary and Critical Design Reviews (PDR/CDR)
  • Develop and manage a system/software problem analysis log/report
  • Active participant/member of risk management committee
  • Identify system and software risks
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to address software related risks
  • Primary POC to TSA on software requirements and performance
  • Primary POC for design reviews.

Requirements

Required Skills:

  • U.S. CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED
  • Experience as lead software engineer for a federal security development application
  • Education/Experience:  Bachelor’s Science degree and twelve (12) years of IT software development experience including two (2) years of cloud migration and O&M experience.
