Summary / Description

We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer service oriented Windows 10 Systems Administrator to join our team in Fort Belvoir, VA to begin an exciting and challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems. 

 

Active DoD Top Secret Clearance Required !


In this role you will perform as a System Administrator for the Defense Stockpile Management System (DSMS) including Nuclear Management Information System (NUMIS), and Defense Integration and Management of Nuclear Data Services (DIAMONDS), Joint Application Design Environment (JADE) projects for the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA).


Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Requirements:

 

  • Provide design, analysis, development, integration, documentation, testing and implementation of equipment configured for use by the DSMS community.
  • Lifecycle management functions including test, deployment, maintenance, disposal, including laptops and workstations.
  • Supports conducting and documenting site surveys, installations and upgrades.
  • Coordinating with host unit officials to discuss office locations, site-unique characteristics, network conductivity and security requirements.
  • Perform system patches, upgrades, configuration, troubleshooting and documentation of fielded equipment. Work with the DIAMONDS Support Center to provide support for all DSMS users for fielded equipment issues.
  • Maintain an accurate and current inventory of all fielded equipment. Assist Government Equipment Managers in assessing and utilizing the Defense Property Accountability System.
  • Work vendors to diagnose and resolve hardware, software and networking problems.
  • Administer hardware backup and recovery procedures.
  • Plan and implement system security activities.
  • Performs all other work as assigned.

Requirements

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

 

  • US Citizenship
  • TS clearance Required 
  • CompTia Security+ and related Computing Environment certification (i.e MCSA, or equivalent).
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10
  • Advanced degree of analytical ability
  • Advanced skills in problem solving.
  • Advanced skills in communicating effectively, both orally and in writing.

Minimum Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years expereince or equivalent
  • Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate system security certification in accordance with DoD Directive 8570.01-M upon hire.
