Summary / Description

We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer service oriented Executive Architect to join our team in Reston, VA to begin an exciting and challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems. 

 

In this role you will provide technical and service solutions in the areas of end user productivity support services, including tier 0/1/2 support services, mobile computing, application/workspace virtualization, Voice over IP, VTC, unified communication, asset and configuration management,  end point devices lifecycle management. Identifies and develops innovative and differentiating solutions that lead to improved margins and win probability with Federal clients. Support business captures as a lead solution architect and leads proposal development and delivery.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:
•Functions as a Subject Matter Expert in the technology, process, service methodology, and organizational solutions that position Unisys as a leader in end user support services for our Federal Clients. 
•Leads business capture activities as a solution architect in developing win strategies, concept of operations, roadmaps, detailed solutions in technical approaches, teaming strategy, Bill of Materials (BOM), and Basis of Estimate (BOE) for labor cost.
•Provides thought leadership to Unisys delivery program teams and client communities. Authors whitepapers and presents in public events. Supports pre-sales customer meetings.
•Provides solution and design input to engineering team in developing capability demonstrations and proof-of-concept testing.
•Research emerging technology solutions. Establishes and maintains productive working relationships with third-party vendors and other Unisys business units. Leverages these relationships to the best advantage of Unisys in supporting client requirements. Manage vendor relationships to enable the adoption and integration of new solutions.
•Ensures that all architectural artifacts and deliverables in the responsibility areas are developed to the highest quality standards
•Identifies opportunities for asset reuse that reduces overall solution cost and development time.
•Collaborates with business development team to identify customer needs and new business opportunities. Supports pre-sales activities and leads technical proposal development.

Requirements

Required:
•Master's degree from a Department of Education accredited college and 20 years of relevant experience.
•Minimum 3 years of overall experience in supporting business captures and proposals as a lead solution architect. Experience in capturing technical requirements and defining technical solutions in the form of conceptual, logical, and physical designs, including the ability to articulate those concepts both verbally and in writing.
•Minimum 3 years leading large scale proposal as a solution lead. Must be highly experienced in developing win strategies, win themes, detailed solution design. Must be an effective proposal writer.
•Ability to synthesize solution design information, architectural principles, available technologies, third-party products, and industry standards to formulate a system architecture that meets client requirements and can be delivered within the desired timeframe.
•7+ years of experience in architecting solutions for service desk solutions, comprehensive lifecycle management for end point devices (laptop, thin client, tablet, smart phones), ITSM solutions (Service Now or Remedy), mobility (mobile device management, mobile content management, mobile identity and access management, and mobile security management), and unified communication.
•In-depth knowledge and experience in VDI solutions.
•Expert in ITIL based IT service management processes
•Experience identifying potential design, performance, security, and support problems, including ability to identify technical risks/challenges and develop relevant mitigation strategies.
•Ability to interface with team members at all levels, including business operations, finance, technology, and management.
•Experience working with US Federal Government customers;
•US Citizen
Desired:
•Working experience in Department of Defense is highly desired.
•DoD Secret or above clearance
•Experience with Cloud solutions (Office 365, Azure, AWS)
•Experience with Windows 10
•In-depth ServiceNow experience and knowledge
•Experience with Call Center Telephony solutions, such as Skype, Cisco, Avaya, Genesys.
•Experience with endpoint device management solutions: MS SCCM, IBM BigFix, or Mcafee
•Experience with Citrix or VMWare Horizon/View/ Workspace One
•Experience with VMware AirWatch, IBM Maas360, or MobileIron
•Experience with Robotic Process Automation technologies
