  • Summary / Description

    We are seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented System Integrator interested in joining our team in Springfield, VA and exploring an exciting and challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems.

     

    This Systems Engineer (SE) will lead External Site Architecture Transition (ESAT) Team technical project/tasks, and must have excellent SE&I, project engineering, and written and verbal communications skills, and be adept at working in a highly dynamic environment, composed of multiple NGA initiatives, associated phased developments, and programmatic dependencies. The ESAT SE will lead, develop, coordinate, and document the integration and transition of NGA capabilities, services and functional upgrades into the NSG enterprise without interruption to mission operations and NGA Integrated Master Schedule Milestones, providing analysis and recommendations for mission change implementation, performance optimization and enhancement, increased efficiency, and reduced cost. The ESAT SE will plan and lead External Site Architecture Transitions, NSG and NEA Deployments and NGA Portfolios Transition and Integration activities, to include conduct of technical exchange meetings, coordination of site/facility integration activities, coordination with multiple systems/segments, development of detailed Transition Activity Plans (TAPs) and sustain mission based outcome and deliverables accountable to multiple Government stakeholders and technical representatives across the NSG, including interaction and coordination with contractors as well as external site customers and associates. Subject Matter Expertise on technical and programmatic elements of the NSG Acquisition Process is required. Travel Required (CONUS and OCONUS): up to 10%.

    Requirements

    Required Qualifications:

     

    • Able to work with customer to resolve technical/programmatic issues & make directed changes
    • Bachelor’s degree in CS / Math / Science / Engineering / or related technical field and a minimum 15 years’ experience in related field, with 10+ years recent GEOINT experience
    • SE&I experience working with NSG/NGA or GEOINT Mission partner systems/segments
    • Experience using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to solve complex problems
    • Self-starter and able to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities
    • Demonstrated technical task leadership/project engineering experience/SME
    • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
    • Strong interpersonal, problem solving, organizational and multi-tasking skills
    • Excellent written/verbal communications, technical/non-technical presentation skills
    • TS/SCI Clearance (with a current SSBI favorably adjudicated within the last 5 years)

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Master’s degree in CS / Math / Science / Engineering / related technical field
    • SE&I (INCOSE), IT (ITIL), IA (CISSP), Agile (Scrum) certifications; SAFe model SME
    • IC/DoD experience; demonstrated working knowledge of the NSG enterprise, NGA organization, programs, systems, primarily NES, IESS, IEC, NCL/STIL/NIL/CIL, IPLs
    • Familiarity with NGA Leaders; Working knowledge of NGA Organization, Portfolios, PORs, TAs
    • Working knowledge of NSG/NGA Acquisition and Change Management Processes
    • Experience working Security accreditation & authorization & certification activities
    • Systems Analysis Experience - Determining how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes
    • Demonstrated technical project team leadership/project engineering experience/SME
    • Familiarity with NGA Leaders; Working knowledge of NGA Organization, Portfolios, PORs, TAs
    • Military intelligence, military acquisition, and/or combat arms experience especially at Combatant Command and tactical unit levels
    • Able to provide effective technical guidance, motivate teams, resolve conflict
