    We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Senior Azure Architect to join our team in Reston, VA to begin an exciting and challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems.


    Responsible for ensuring that the Unisys Federal strategy and solution for Microsoft Azure Cloud Services are efficiently and effectively defined, and competitive against other vendors’ solutions. Provides expertise and creativity in the development and implementation of differentiating services and solutions. Provides leadership in developing innovative service capabilities for Azure Cloud and in managing Azure capability development project. Responsible for developing strategies, technology, tools, methods, services and solutions that position Unisys as a recognized leader in providing Azure cloud service for Federal Clients. Also leads development of the detailed technical design and architecture for federal cloud contract opportunities.

    Specific responsibilities include:

    • Lead the development of innovative service solutions for Unisys Azure cloud service offerings
    • Consults with clients to establish, maintain and refresh their strategic direction in cloud adoption.
    • Support the full lifecycle of cloud computing management, from customer needs analysis and environment assessment, through design, test, migration, and operation. 
    • Provide engineering designs and project plans for cloud migration, cloud operation, and cloud IT optimization. 
    • Continually research, evaluate, and apply emerging technologies to improve the business outcome of our service to our customers. 


    Required Qualifications

    • Master's degree and minimum 15 years of overall experience or equivalent blend of education and experience.
    • Minimum of 4 years of Azure cloud hands-on experience
    • Minimum of 5 years of solid hands on Active Directory architecting, engineering, and management experience, including Azure AD.
    • Deep knowledge of Azure services, including Azure Active Directory, Azure Security Token Service, Azure Functions, Azure Resource Manager (ARM), Azure SQL and/or Cosmos
    • Strong PowerShell skills  
    • Must have experience with DevOps concept, toolchain, and Azure solutions. 
    • Azure certification 
    • Must be experienced in the following Azure cloud service areas: cloud readiness assessment and migration strategy development and migration planning, cloud migration, identity and access management, cloud billing and metering, cloud monitoring, cloud backup/recovery and DR/COOP, Azure cloud database, Azure Data Analytics, Azure Artificial Intelligence, Azure Automation, files/storage, networking, and security solutions for Azure.
    • Experienced with Identity and Access Management solutions for hybrid cloud environment involving Azure
    • US citizenship

    Desired Qualifications 

    • Knowledge in Puppet/Ansible is highly desirable 
    • Experience with container technology, AWS, Jira/Confluence/BitBucket/Bamboo, Terraform, Ansible, Consul, Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry.
    • DoD Secret clearance 
    • PMP certification 
    • CISSP or CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional) certification
