    We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Senior Database Analyst to join our team in Washington, DC to begin an exciting and challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems.

     

    In this role you will utilize your expertise in the area of database systems and applications in support of IT policies, procedures and systems in place within the Department of State. The ideal candidate will ensure development teams and technical leads are successful in their mission support of DoS, Bureau of Administration, while keeping government and contract leadership informed and strategically prepared to lead the organization.  

     

    Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:

    • As a SME, provide cross-functional domain knowledge, expertise and guidance to technical teams.
    • Support teams with comprehensive application and system life cycle management.
    • Support A/LM Archive, E-Mail Gateway, STIGS, A&S, disk conversions for SQL migration, back-up systems to vblock and enterprise back-ups, myProfile, Department Notices, AMS legacy, fixes broken legacy apps, tests Windows 10, and provides cloud governance.
    • Troubleshoot network issues and interface with the Bureau of IRM group responsible for the networks.
    • Provide system adminsitration support of DNS configurations with respective DB's and provide troubleshooting as needed.
    • Provide remediation in database recovery.
    • Provide back end development  support through scripting experience with Windows PowerShell & Windows Batch scripting.
    • Provide applications support.

     

     

    Requirements

    Position Requirements:

    • U.S. CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED
    • DOD SECRET REQUIRED
    • Must pass a Department of State Background Investigation, Secret level investigation. Valid EQIP JPAS transfers acceptable.
    • Education/Experience:  Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of experience or equivalent specific to database systems/application administration.
    • Experience with Network Engineering & DB Systems Administration.
    • Experience with Server Administration in the areas of Windows Security Policy, Windows server configuration, and remediating Windows Server issues.
    • Experience with Systems/Application Integrating Database, Application (web or legacy), Web App (IIS or Tomcat), Directory Services, Security including single sign-on.
    • Possess Knowledgeable with Windows authentication and Certificates.
    • Experience wtih SQL Server Database Administration specifically with configuration of failover and backups.
    • Demonstrated experience with back end development.
    • Experience wtih Tomcat.
    • Experience with ServiceNow.
    • Experience, but not required, with web development.
