We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Help Desk Application Support Technician to join our team in Reston, VA to begin an exciting and challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems.
In this role you will provide the highest level of support to end users by handling Incident and Problem service requests that have been escalated by lower tiers. Support will be provided remotely, over the phone, and via email. You will be required to develop solutions for complex network, application, and server problems. You will have the ability to analyze existing systems and make proactive recommendations for improvements. Develops, maintains, and implements all systems, applications, and networking configurations. This position will have direct access to the application development team as SME reach back and will need to coordinate with other O&M teams.
Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:
Supporting development CCB
Work closely with software developers & QA
Provide Tier 3 Incident, Problem and Request Fullfillment
Coordinate with multiple stakeholders and O&M teams
Effectively and efficiently troubleshoot technical problems
U.S. CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED
Experience supporting software/application O&M support
Education/Experience: HS with 5 years experience of direct Helpdesk/Application support
Experience with Incident Management
Experience with Problem Management
Experience with Request Fullfillment \ Change Management
Must be resourceful and able to take initiative in a dynamic environment
Familiarity with network troubleshooting
Professional customer service skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
Remedy experience is good to have
Database experience is good to have
Have experience supporting WAN and LAN
Call Center experience good to have
Cisco OS experience good to have
Preferred: Three (3) years of experience supporting TSA or other DHS agency with an active public trust clearance.
Must be able to get and hold a government public trust clearance
